Finding Our Roots :: Personal
Every two years it seems my life is put on hold. I’m left with questions and uncertain answers as to what the next two years will hold. My husband and I never stay in one place longer than 2 years. His job has provided my family with numerous opportunities and for that, I am thankful. However, moving often has some pros and cons. Never did I dream that I would move to Florida at the age of 21, or that I would be where I am today. So I am thankful for the opportunities my husband’s job has brought, but let’s face it, I’m getting older and soon (not yet!) we will want a family. It’s about time to start finding a place to call home.
It’s also hard. Restarting your business in a new city is difficult, let alone doing it every two years. A photography business is built on referrals and reputation which is not something you can build overnight. I have spent countless nights with tears flooding my face wanting to give up.
It’s been about two years since we moved to Knoxville. I have anxiously waited to know where our next adventure would take us. Several locations were discussed, and with each one I believe my heart broke a little more. The thought of leaving Knoxville was heartbreaking. I have fallen in love with the beauty it has to offer.
Last Friday we received amazing news. I am beyond THRILLED to announce that Knoxville will be our home for the next two to three years! It’s time to put some roots down!!
Major credit props to Chris Kruger Photography for the amazing photography!
