The forecast called for rain all week. I prayed and prayed, Tori prayed, and I am pretty sure her entire family prayed because not one raindrop fell. The one thing we forgot to pray for however, was the wind. Boy, was it windy!! We won’t complain though. I’ll take strong winds over rain, any day.
I fell head over heels in love with this venue the day I arrived for Tori & Brady’s engagement. The Oakes Daylilies Farm is simply breathtaking. In one direction you have a turquoise pond with a flowing fountain. In another you have a field overflowing with wildflowers, and weeping willows. What’s even more special about this farm is that Brady grew up right down the street.
Tori & her girls actually got ready at the Whitt’s residence. It was so nice to walk in and see their engagement photos throughout the house. I already knew how loved this couple was, but witnessing the love of their family and friends on this special day made that much more evident. Tori & Brady have been together for quite some time. Long enough, that Brady had written Tori a letter to only be opened on their wedding day. It’s an amazing feeling to know your high school sweetheart will one day be your wife/husband. With this letter Brady gifted Tori with a jewelry box that included small tokens of their lives together. It was the cutest/sweetest gesture.
Once the girls were dressed, it was time for the first looks. While her sisters and bridesmaids watched from the window, Tori stepped outside for her father to see her for the first time in her dress. His eyes lit up the moment he saw his daughter! It was the most precious father daughter look.
The whole day was a breeze (literally and figuratively). Tori & Brady were married beneath the willow trees, and danced the night away. It was the perfect end to a perfect day!
