Lexington KY Wedding Photographer :: Tollgate Farm Wedding
This day had been anticipated from the moment I met Madison & Cody at her cousins wedding. You could just tell they were beaming with love in their eyes, and it was only a matter of time! The moment I read the email from Madison asking me to be her wedding photographer, I may have been a little bit excited. I just love their family, so it was such an honor to work with them again!
Madison & Cody’s Kentucky Farm wedding was held on their own family property. I love how Madison shared the farm’s history using images of the house when it was built. Such a unique place for a ceremony! There were so many significant events from the day. Instead of the typical sand ceremony, Madison and Cody planted a tree using dirt from their own childhood homes. They mixed the dirt during the ceremony, and later planted the tree on the farm. On that day, their families grew. Now they can watch that symbol of love grow, as they continue to grow their own.
The day began right up the road from the farm at the groom’s parents house, where the girls were glamified (I think I just made that word up!) by the one and only, Nicole Rainwater. Nicole always does such an amazing job, so if you’re in need of a makeover give her a call! The basement was filled with bridesmaids and family, which is what happens when you are so loved. That’s exactly how a wedding should be, and it definitely was!!
Typically I can pinpoint one favorite moment from the day to think back on, but this day had too many special moments. From Madison & Cody’s son being an integral part of the day, the father daughter first look, bride groom first touch, and the horse and buggy ride to the alter, my heart melted! This is what every Kentucky wedding should look like! You will just have to look for yourselves…
